Adult Supervision

Common Cents Fund Fees & Charges

CCF is a professional authorised for-profit fundraising organisation. Unlike many other fundraising organisations, CCF’s key operating principle is based on transparency and full disclosure. CCF deducts a 5% fee on donations in return for providing this fundraising platform to charities. A full breakdown of charges and merchant fees is provided in the table below. By donating via CCF charities will receive over 90c in the donated dollar. Fundraising laws in Australia state that professional fundraising organisations may charge charities up to 50% of the funds raised as their fee. CCF’s fee is one of the lowest cost fundraising models in the marketplace.

Fee Breakdown

Item Amount
Donation $100.00
CCF Fee – 5% -$5.00
GST – 10%* -$0.50 (+$0.50)
Braintree Payment Fee 2.4% + $0.30 -$2.70
Net Payment to Charity $92.30
*GST reclaimable by charity

CCF does not impose any annual fees or ongoing charges to charities for its hosting or fundraising services.

Use of Credit Card Details

CCF does not collect or store any financial information from donors. All payments are handled through secure payment gateways external to CCF.

Partner Charities / Not For Profits

All the charities and not for profit organisations that appear on this website have entered into a contractual arrangement with CCF which lawfully authorises CCF to collect fundraising donations made on this website on their behalf. We cannot collect donations for a charity without the permission of that charity.

Some charities and not for profit organisations have similar names. It is your responsibility to ensure that the recipient organisation you have selected from this website is your intended recipient organisation.

Where a charity has selected an item for CCF to raise funds for, and where that item is not available once sufficient funds have been raised, the charity is entitled to use the funds towards an alternative item that is required for the charity’s cause.

Refunds will only be available in the following circumstances:

The charity or organisation that is the nominated recipient of the donation ceases to exist in its capacity as such an organisation between the time of the donor contributing to the item and the charity receiving the funded item.

The supplier of the nominated item ceases to trade or becomes insolvent before the item is fully funded and the nominated charity or organisation does not request a replacement item.

The nominated item does not reach fully funded status and no other alternative item is requested or nominated for funding as a replacement item by the nominated charity or organisation.

You indemnify CCF and undertake to keep CCF indemnified against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including without limitation legal expenses and any amounts paid by CCF to a third party in settlement of a claim or dispute on the advice of CCF’S legal advisers) incurred or suffered by CCF arising out of any breach by you of any provision of these terms and conditions, or arising out of any claim that you have breached any provision of these terms and conditions.

Breaches of terms and conditions of use
